Short Story
We have named our institution Pallimed by incorporating two distinct terms palliative and medicine. The beneficiaries are the people who are sick, old, and bedridden from the three Grama Panchayaths namely Kooropada, Akalakunnam and Pallickathodu of Kottayam district. Till now our institution committed to provide palliative and medical supports for 1819 patients.
What We Do
How We Work
After registering the name of the patient in the office the medical officer (Doctor) visit’s the patient’s home, makes diagnosis and starts treatment.On home care base Physiotherapy services are provided to patients who are paralysed due to accidents, stroke etc. Other patients who could travel to the centre benefitted multiple physiotherapy sessions under the able stewardship of physiotherapist with sophisticated therapeutically machinery.
Our nurses provide their services according to the directions given by the Doctor. Bedridden patients those who are suffering from cancer, strokes, diabetes, abnormal blood pressure, agedness, heart diseases, lung disease, kidney malfunctions etc are taken care. Furthermore, Those patients who need helping aids like air bed, wheelchair, back rest, commode chair walking stick etc are provided from the centre.

Pallimed Palliative Care, a home centered palliative care movement instituted on behalf of Koovapoika TASK Charitable Trust with the ardent support rendered by the civil society of the region, local self government bodies and cooperative banks. We offer palliative home care services free of cost under the brand name Pallimed.
